A complex and exposed 2 acre site on multiple levels in South Nottinghamshire has been designed to create a series of sleek entertaining terraces and raised planters to the main house and pool complex. Corten steel, porcelain and decking were selected as the key materials to offset the timber clad house. Generous borders were planted with semi mature trees and large Prunus lusitanica ‘Domes’, interspersed with naturalistic planting in a palette of purples, blues and oranges. A large formal lawn was created and a bank designed to flow down to the lower lawn and woodland and stream beyond.
