A stunning new Rose and Peony garden has been designed around a meandering gravel pathway that encourages those within it to walk slowly through the space. To one end is a restored historic stone seat dating back to the 1700’s and to the other, views to the open parkland. Mature yew ‘Beehives’ were selected from The Netherlands to form the structure and provide scale to the building. Pittosporum domes were repeated through the space and David Austin roses and Primrose Hall peonies were planted throughout the borders. Leucojum, Salvias, Alliums, Thalictrum, Chaeropyllum, Erigeron, Verbena and Lavender provide an extended seasonal interest. Mature Pyrus espaliers were planted against the walls to soften the building.
